Welcome to PlaZma Radio

Here you’ll find everything you need to know about your favorite 80s radio station.

PlaZma Radio (WPLZ-DB) has been a fully licensed online radio station since 2002.  It started in Holly, MI and moved to Bloomington, IL in November of 2011.  In March, 2016 it moved again, this time to Louisville, KY.

PlaZma Radio was inspired by many a late-night, alcohol-infused webcast on the now-defunct website called Stickam.  It was during one of those nights that DJ PlaZma realized he could put his passion for 80s music into the ears of 80s music lovers around the world.  Such was the beginning of PlaZma Radio.

In 2012 I was granted the call letters WPLZ-DB.

PlaZma Radio is basically everything 80s.  From late ’79 to early ’90, chances are you’ll find it here.  Being a huge fan of 80s New Wave and Alternative, you’ll find a bit of a slant in that direction.

Automated Requests are online.  Click the rather obvious link to the right.

Even though the music library is pretty extensive and I routinely add new music, there is music that I’m bound not to have.  If you notice something missing, send me an email and I’ll see what I can do about bringing it on board.

Thank you VERY MUCH for listening.
